The Aerospace Industry Association of Michigan is a non-profit, “member-driven” organization founded and led by Tony Vernaci.
Tony has held executive positions at Global Advantages, Doncasters, and Textron. He was the Senior Vice President of International, Director of Global Integrated Supply Chain, Director of Six Sigma, General Manager of Manufacturing, and Regional Director of Distribution. Before joining Textron, Tony spent 10 years in the automotive industry at both an OEM and a Tier-one supplier. With these diverse set of experiences, Tony set out to create a strong, innovative and most importantly “member-driven” organization to connect talent, industry, and Government to make Michigan the number one Aerospace Manufacturing hub in the nation.
A recent Boeing publication forecasts the need for over 41,000 commercial aircraft within the next 20 years at a value of over $6 trillion USD. This projection indicates a very healthy economic future, along with tremendous opportunities for all sectors of the industry. AIAM provides the platform for aerospace leaders in the state to work together on a common set of priorities to strengthen and support the continued growth in the industry through talent attraction and new investment in Michigan. The organization single mission is to be the collective voice for small, medium, and large companies in Michigans, pledging to provide maximum value for all its members.
AIAM is filled with a talented member base of all size companies ranging from small companies (5 employees or less) , to large corporations including; Eaton, General Electric, and Valiant TMS. Not only is our member base filled with high-level talent, but our board of directors also features well versed, highly experienced representatives from global Aerospace companies.
